You girls probably know by now that my obsession with beauty tools is REAL. Especially since quarantine hit and I’ve started doing at-home facials (here’s how!), I love playing around with tools that you can use from the comfort of your bathroom. Skincare is something I’ve always invested in since I like being able to go without makeup and I think of it as investing in my future face. I’ve found some hits and misses but at this point, I have five that I swear by and use every. single. week!
Dermaflash Dermapore Pore Extractor & Serum Infuser
I. AM. OBSESSED! By far the best blackhead removal tool I’ve tried, especially for the nose and chin where I get build up! This one is really cool because it removes pores and also infuses the serum of your choice depending on which setting you have it on. You just put the serum on your skin and let this do its thing. Love that it’s multitasking and efficient and my skin feels much clearer after using this consistently. It’s always in my weekly routine now and I usually go for it a few nights a week.
Dermaplanning Tool
Alright, the whole dermaplanning trend kinda freaked me out at first but I’m definitely all about the hype now. Essentially this shaves your face, which again, I had major hesitations about. I was worried that my hair might grow back thicker and all that but I haven’t had any of those issues and I’m addicted to this now. It basically gentle removes hair and exfoliates your skin at the same time and leaves you with BABY soft skin, I swear by this! I notice that my skincare products can sink into the skin better and it’s a game-changer for how your makeup looks since your skin is super soft. If you deal with any peach fuzz around your lip or anything like that, you’ll get the extra perk of not having to wax. I use this 1x a week, sometimes only in certain areas that need to be cleaned up or exfoliated. I also shared a drug store version of the tool on my At Home Beauty Hacks post last month too.
NuFace
You girls have heard my rave about the NuFace tool and it’s money well spent! Let’s be honest we’re all trying to keep that youthful appearance and this little toning device is great for that. It sends out a micro current that helps to tighten, tone and smooth out lines and wrinkles, and a lot of facialists use this technique. I’m all about investing in tools that will save me $$ by not having to go get treatments done and this is one of those! Check out the reviews if you’re not convinced and FYI that it comes in a mini too.
GloPRO
This one has been a staple in my routine for at least four years now and can’t recommend it enough. This is another treatment I originally done at a spa and now I love being able to do it at home. It works to rejuvenation the cells of your skin and creates new collagen (something that helps with youthful skin and that we all naturally lose as we age). Use it right before applying any skincare products and it helps them be absorbed 200x more effectively YEA! I use it a couple times a week in between the NuFace.
Facial Steamer
I first tried this when I was figuring out the at-home facial thing and now I’m #OBSESSED! Seriously don’t know how I lived without one and it’s been a game-changer. I use it a couple of nights a week with a bare, clean face to open pores. Then I go about my skincare routine or throw on a mask first if I’m being extra. Then again, I always use it with home facials every couple of weeks or 1x a week if I’m lucky. Just be careful you don’t get too close because the water gets super hot. I personally like this one but if you want more budget-friendly, I hear this one is awesome too!
What tools do you girls swear by??
I can’t wait to try the Nuface! Have you tried the LED attachment? I have heard amazing things.
oh not yet but now i’m off to go look it up!!
