Five Tips for Styling Your Outdoor Patio Space

Alright ladies, are you all ready for patio season?! I’m so ready and beyond excited to finally share a little sneak peek of #TheHBDesertCasa with you girls today. One of the first areas we completed was the backyard and patio spaces and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! Today I’m sharing the pieces I chose and a few design tips for styling your outdoor patio space this season.

You know I love styling and entertaining so when remodeling the house, I wanted to make sure the outside areas felt welcoming for all the outdoor lounging and hosting. Since I know a lot of you are also sprucing up your outdoor spaces, I figured this would be the perfect time to share some of my new favorite patio pieces I found from Crate & Barrel that I know you’ll love too! They’ve always been a go-to for all things decor and entertaining, and I have to say their outdoor stuff is some of the best I’ve seen this season.

First things first, let’s talk tabletop styling!

Decorative Accents

Decorative accents are always the first place that I start when putting together an outdoor entertaining spread. Like the season, you want it to be effortless and inviting so a pop of color with a fun table runner, a few playful lanterns, and some string lights for when the sun goes down easily set the tone.

Functionality is key!

What I love most about these pieces from Crate and Barrel is that not only are they cute but they’re functional too. Acrylic pieces are KEY in our home (hello mom life!) so acrylic cups, plates, and serve ware are a must! Crate and Barrel has so many great options this Spring/Summer and we’ve been using these pieces nonstop.

Statement Pieces

In addition to the functional acrylic pieces, I like to add in a few statement serving pieces. An oversized cheese board, serving trays, and drink dispensers are an easy way to elevate your spread and add a little wow factor to the items you’re serving.

Everyone loves a cocktail station and this drink dispenser is definitely a statement that’s perfect for whatever you’re serving up!

Let’s Lounge

We plan on low-key lounging all Summer long so finding comfortable pieces was at the top of my list. The fact that these lounge chairs are also show stoppers design-wise was an added bonus! I mean honestly, how good are these chairs?! I’m obsessed!

I plan on posting up here all Summer long while my kids swim in the pool.

Furniture & Decor Favorites

and last but definitely not least, our master backyard patio (AKA my sanctuary). For this outdoor patio space, I wanted to create a hideout kind of vibe and a place to escape and unwind. It’s a place where I can relax, read a book, and/or have a glass of wine at the end of the day. The design of this set is so unique and beautiful. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. Here’s a similar vibe!

The set honestly is so gorgeous by itself but added in a few fun printed pillows,  a throw blanket, an accent table, and a serving tray to complete this relaxing space!
