Honeybee Health: Random Shots


I’m not a big believer in “replacing” your meals with a juice but I do love a fresh juice! I try to have half of it one day and save the other half for the next day. Im obsessed with this lemon/grapefruit/double shot of ginger drink from a local juicer here in Miami!

Love these thin biscotti like cookies from Whole Foods! I reach for these first whenever im craving sweets. You can have 5 for around 100 calories.

If those biscotti thins dont cut it….Gelato always seems to do the trick. Actually Gelato has been quite a staple in my diet here.They say gelato is made with more milk than heavy cream so technically it has less fat than ice cream. I still think it tastes way to good to be good for you 😉 So I keep my portions to the smallest size.

I dont know if it is the pregnancy or the humidity but I am an animal around watermelon haha! I cant tell you how much of it i’ve been eating lately!

My husband was having “his pregnancy cravings” for some wings so we went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Going to these type of spots is always a challenge for me because you really have to search fort healthy options. I ended up getting the grilled chicken tacos (told them to hold the cheese and sauce) and only had a handful of the chips.

Yeah for Cheesecake Factory! They have finally jumped on the health bandwagon and produced a “skinnylicious menu” Everything on it is under 500 calories!

  1. I love that you also don't believe in juices as a meal replacement! Eat real food! And can you believe I've never had gelato before? I've never been a big ice cream fan so I may have to try some gelato before I like…die or something haha. And you know what they say about craving fruits during pregnancy….it's a girl! 😉 Can't wait till you find out!!

  2. That's awesome that Cheesecake Factory has a skinnylicious menu! I went there on my honeymoon and the food was soo rich, it was a bit much! Love reading these health tips and congrats on your pregnancy! Your going to be the cutest bump girl! lol

  4. @Jennifer- I may be altering it a bit because there are lots of things you shouldnt eat and then there are lots of things you should eat bc they are good for the growing bean! Im your second and thrid trimester you also need a couple hundred additional calories so Im trying to get on that as well 😉
