I cant tell you how happy I am about the bill that was passed by congress making it mandatory for major restaurants and fast food chains to post their nutrition facts! They will also appear at drive thru’s and on vending machines! I think its a great way for people who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle to get a feel for exactly how many calories they are consuming! Maybe then they will make smarter choices if they have it right in front of them.
I went to Cheesecake Factory last week and scanned over their nutritional menu. Note they were smart to make a separate menu with the info instead of listing it right below the item. The customers would then have to make the extra step to go through another menu.
Snagged a coffee at Coffee Bean yesterday and was so excited to see the calories listed on the items im always drooling over!
**How about you girls? Are you glad to see the Nutrition Facts or Would you rather eat what you want and not worry about feeling guilty after?!
I love that they're doing this! A lot of people are unaware of how many calories they're actually consuming. I'm always surprised to find out how many calories are in my fav. foods 🙂
I am so glad to see the nutrition facts out in the open and available to people who are interested. I hope they do the same in Canada and Europe!
you are so adorable! i love reading your blogs! you are so inspiring both health and fashion wise! i am very happy they are posting nutrition info on foodies! gotta stay fit! xoxo
I love it! I personally don't really care about my calorie intake, but I'd love seeing the saturated/transfat and sodium intakes.
It's about time they did this! but I have my doubts if the calorie count is right because you never know what's really happening in the kitchen. I'm still happy though haha
I love it! However, remember to be careful about the menus, it's estimated that most restaurants underestimate their caloric values by 18%. I promise I'm not making that up 🙂
This is great news! I had no idea that a bill was passed, it's about time…now I can finally eat certain foods while I'm out, I was too skeptical of calorie/fat content before! Thanks!
such a great step to building a healthy society. i am very pleased with this change. i know i will be second guessing the food i choose to order. great post doll <3
amazingness xx
I too am so happy about this! Makes tracking what's going in your body so much easier, instead of trying to stalk it on the internet before going out 🙂
Love it!
I'm happy to see this! It takes the guess work out of how many calories you think a dessert/meal would be.
i think this is great, especially for restaurant salads…they are often loaded with calories but people think they are being good b/c it has "salad" in the name! obviously a burger and fries is loaded with calories, so to uncover some hidden calorie hoarders (cocktails need this type of menu too) is eye opening.
very happy about this!!! it is so important to know what we are eating!!
I love that they are doing this!
I like being able to see the nutrition facts. The nutrition facts helped me to see how many calories I was consuming at a fast food restaurant and I have since quit eating the sandwiches that I thought was lower calories. Boy, was I fooled.

Agreed! Although I live in Canada and we don't have that yet unfortunately, except at McDonald's.
im so glad you girls are as interested in this as i am! @lifeisreediculous i totally agree…there needs to be a list for the cocktails as well! @Em very true, definitely use this as am estimate xo
oooh, that's a toughie, bc i hate feeling guilty about eating anything that tastes good, but yet i know i should eat better and cleaner for my health!! i think this is good though to have it there in case i want to see it, and i don't, i just won't look!!
Oh I don't know how I missed this post! Really love that this is enforced now too. I think more people will be aware of what they're eating and maybe think twice when ordering. 🙂
