Honeybee Beauty: MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer

I’ve been using Smashbox light oil free primer for over a year and really liked it. After reading reviews about MUFE HD Microperfecting primer (A lightweight, oil-free complexion corrector that enhances the skin’s texture and primes the skin for makeup application.) I decided to give it a try.

The part that sold me was that they have six color-correcting shades depending on your skin type needs. I chose the yellow #6 for my olive skin tone. At first I really was not a fan of the smell and was going to return it, but after using it a few times I realized it really did even out my skin tone and add a subtle glow! I also feel that this primer has lasted a lot longer than my Smashbox primer. If you have uneven skin tone I would definitely recommend this product.

Here’s a breakdown on which Primer is best for your skin……….

0 Neutral
(adds natural luminosity to the complexion)

1 Green
(minimizes redness – ideal for skin with rosacea)

2 Mauve
(counteracts sallow undertones)

4 Caramel
(combats ashiness in medium to dark skin tones/warms golden tones)

5 Blue
(adds radiance to fair skin/ reduces minor imperfections)

6 Yellow
(lightens dark complexions)

7 Pink
(brightens the complexion/ counteracts sallow undertones)

Have you guys used this primer?!! Which ones do you use?

  1. Thanks for doing a review on this product! I always walk by it near Sephora and it always sparks some curiosity. I think I am going to try out 6# to lighten my dark skin tone!

  2. Hi Andee,

I really enjoy your blog and love your laid back but chic style. I have been curious about this primer for a while, I am intrigued by the color correcting aspect.

I love Tarte Clean Slate because its an all natural product and also Revlon Beyond Natural Smoothing Primer. Both are by far the best primers I have tried so far (and I've tried a few). The help keep my makeup in place, combat oiliness, and don't make my sensitive skin break out.

    Thanks for you lovely blog!

  3. @Chandra good to know…im sure the Revlon one is also a little more affordable as well! @Marie… ive heard good things as well about the Laura Mercier Primer. LM products are great all around!

  8. Yay! Thank you i swear your the best beauty blogger!! Ive always wanted to try chanel also, im so bad with matching colors, and ive heard armani's color swatches are hard to match with skintones. You and i pretty much have the same skin tone, im pretty olive as well w/ dark hair. What actualy shades are you in armani and chanel? just so i can have some sort of starting point with colors and hopefully they will work for me:) Thank you so much for your help im still on the hunt for the perfect foundation and color match!! 🙂
