How I’m Getting Started with Clean Beauty

Trying out new and different beauty brands is one of my favorite things about what I do. And even though I have lots of tried and true faves, I’ve been really drawn to incorporating more clean beauty options lately. I get lots of DMs from you girls asking if I’ve tried some of the clean beauty brands that are out there right now, and although a lot of my favorites are traditional products, I have tried quite a few clean alternatives and am actively trying to add more into my rotation. I thought it’d be helpful to share what I’ve tried so far, so I broke it down into makeup and skincare…

Everything I linked below I’ve tried and would recommend, but I’m excited to start getting more into clean beauty and would love any recs you babes have as well!

Makeup

If you’re just starting out with clean beauty, Ilia is a brand you have to check out! I’m loving their Necessary Eyeshadow Palette.

Lalalove Saie Beauty’s Glowy Super Gel! You can use it just on your face or all over your body for that perfect summer glow!

You girls know I’m a huge fan of the Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation from Beautycounter. I’m constantly reaching for this product when I want just a little bit of coverage to even out my skin tone. It gives really good natural looking coverage and has SPF too!

You already knew Supergoop’s CC Cream (has SPF 35 built-in!) was going to be on my list! You can see how I use in My Five-Minute Everyday Makeup Routine!

Drunk Elephant’s Bronzing Drops are no joke and make my face look nice and tan. A little bit goes a long way with this product! I like to add a small drop into my moisturizer for a subtle healthy glow.

And if you’re in the market for a good Clean Mascara, this is the best one I’ve tried. Plus it comes with a lash curler!

Skincare

I don’t know about you, but this mama needs all the help she can get with brightening her eye area and This Cream is a new clean favorite!

I started using Necessaire products almost a month ago and they have quickly become a favorite for the hubby and I! Their bodywash smells so good and they make a clean mineral deodorant that actually works (and keeps selling out). My girlfriend loves the sandalwood scent but i’ve been using the Eucalyptus that makes me feel like i’m at the spa!

First Aid Beauty is one of my go-to clean skincare brands so far! Currently loving their Resurfacing Liquid and Facial Radiance Pads – they work really well together for brighter skin while getting rid of texture. Definitely my top rec for clean peel pads (great for sensitive skin too)

Have to give a shout out to Summer Fridays and their CC Me Vitamin C Serum – such a good clean alternative and has really made a difference in my dark spots. Also shared this Ole Henriksen 3 Mega Wonders set and seriously love it! It’s on promo SALE now too and comes with the toner, serum and moisturizer. For any of you girls who struggle with acne, This Non-Drying Treatment Gel has worked really well for me whenever I have breakouts.

Love This Cleanser for a really gentle face wash to keep in the shower.

This brand is a little more pricey, but the products are so lux and I love their Plant-Based Retinol Powered Facial Oil. I’d definitely recommend it if you want to try retinol but have super sensitive skin like me.

Goop’s Exfoliating Instant Facial is worth every penny and always leaves my skin feeling super soft and bright. I wouldn’t use it the day of an event though because you might be red right after.

I’ve heard really great things about RMS and am eyeing this Luminizer Quad

I LOVE pretty much everything in the Drunk Elephant littles kit, so now I really want to try their Baby Facial product! 

I’ve really been into Tarte products lately and they just launched clean cream bronzer i’m itching to try! It looks like it would be a clean (and more budget friendly option)  to my Chanel bronzer!
