Cabo Travel Guide

It’s no secret that we have a soft spot for Cabo. We’ve been about 6-7 times now and it seems to be becoming a yearly family trip for us. We honestly can’t get enough. I have shared a few posts in the past ( HERE and HERE if you want a little photo overload) but today I wanted to share our updated Cabo Travel Guide short list with our favorite places to eat, drink and stay.

I think one of the main reasons we love Cabo so much is that one, the service is always amazing and two, because it’s a quick two hour flight from us in SoCal. If you follow along with us on instagram you probably saw the hubby and I snuck aways for a couple days with a few couples to celebrate a friends birthday. We have never left our kids for more than 24 hours (or on a flight somewhere) so needless to say I was quite anxious leading up to the trip. I flew my mom out to come stay with the kids (thank you Meme for holding down the fort!!) and have to say we didn’t know just how much “we” needed that little getaway! If you’ve been thinking about getting away with your plus one, I HIGHLY recommend it! Okay now on to our Cabo Favorites Short List…..

Where to Stay

There are a few different places we like to stay depending on what we’re looking for so breaking down each one and why we love them here…

Waldorf Astoria Pedregal

Capella Pedregal was recently acquired by the Waldorf Astoria and is probably the place we have stayed the most. The service is always amazing and love that every room has their own private plunge pool. It was a favorite with our kids when they were little but now probably prefer Chileno Bay because they have an amazing kids club that’s a little more geared toward older ages too (I’d say 10 and under – where Pedregal was more for 5 -7 age group). The location of this property is all the way down by the arch, Lovers Beach and the main downtown strip if you want local night life but also keep in mind it’s about a 30 min drive from airport and other restaurants.

Chileno Bay

Love this hotel! We stayed there a couple years ago and can’t wait to go back. It’s a cross between The Cape and Pedregal that’s family friendly and also lively enough if you wanted to do a girls only or couple trips. The location is great (right next to Montage and a closer drive if you want to go Flora Farms for dinner). *Insider Tip- if you go with your kids, requests the rooms that open up to the green grass lawn area.

The Cape

I stayed at The Cape a few years ago for a moms only trip and LOVVVED it! The decor is so chic and just loved the whole vibe there. I highly recommend this spot if you’re traveling without kids. (shared more photos from that trip on this post HERE if you want to check it out).

Montage, One & Only Palmilla , Esperanza

and if money is no object….The Montage, The One & Only Palmilla and Esperanza are the best of the best!

Where to Eat

Flora Farms

You girls already know Flora Farms was going to be on my list. It’s a little bit of a drive (and off the beaten path…literally) but SO worth it! We book here every time we’re in Cabo and the farm to table concept is executed perfectly! Brunch, lunch and dinner are all amazing. The kids love it too (especially feeding the turtles and ducks on the property). Put it on your list!

edith'S cABO

Edith’s

Edith’s is another great family friendly staple that’s charming and always crowd pleaser.

Arbol at Las Ventanas

If you want a show stopping spot for dinner, Arbol at Las Ventanas is it! We ate there on our last trip and was blown away with how stunning the space was. The food was also fantastic so can’t rave about this spot enough!

ESPERANZA RESORT CABO

Cocina Del Mar at Esperanza

If you’re looking for dinner on a cliff with stunning views check out Cocina Del Mar at Esperanza. We have been to this one a couple times and it’s always so gorgeous.

Agua at The One & Only Palmilla

This spot has also been on my to dine in Cabo list – These Ocean Front Booths are SO charming!

Grab Drinks at…

The Cape Rooftop Bar

The Cape Rooftop Bar has the prettiest views and is a must even to stop in for drink  before dinner. They have live music and dancing some nights too so it’s always a fun spot to check out and highly recommend.

SUR Beach House

The Sur Beach House has been on my list to check out for a couple years now! It’s right on the sand and the whole space looks insta photograph worthy. Will definitely be checking it out on our next trip.

acre baja cabo

Acre Baja

Acre Baja is a stunning property and I can’t get enough of the decor there. It’s such a vibe and is right down the street from Flora Farms. I personally wasn’t obsessed w the food there but would most definitely go back for drinks before heading to dinner at Flora Farms. They do have some really rad treehouse style rooms if you’re up an Adventure!

and that’s our Cabo short list! I hope this breakdown was helpful for you ladies. If you have Cabo favorites  (or other questions) feel free to drop them below!
