It feels like every time I’m scrolling through Pinterest I see these incredible elaborate Bloody Marys and I keep telling myself that I have to try and make them. When we rented a house in Palm Springs a few weeks ago with all of our family, I figured it would be the perfect time to create an epic Bloody Mary bar for everyone to enjoy. Needless to say, it was a hit and so easy to do! Whether it’s for game day, Sunday brunch, Easter, or just a family gathering, a Bloody Mary bar is sure to be a crowd pleaser. So let’s dive right into what I used for my setup….
Aside from just setting out wine or rose and letting people go for it, this might be the easiest drink I’ve served. All you have to do is find a good mix – I used one from Williams & Sonoma and add vodka! However, as with practically everything, it’s all about the presentation right?! There is almost zero food preparation with this little bar. Seriously girls, the only things I had to cut were the limes and lemons (okay, and the ends of the celery and asparagus). So easy! It just takes time finding the right containers to show off all the options. Think of it as accessorizing the bloody :). Options options options…the more the merrier right?!
The Line Up
Celery, Asparagus, Lemons, Crab legs, Limes, Bacon, Olives, Pickles and Celery salt
For the presentation, I used an acrylic tray, a cutting board, a marble cheese board, and a ton of glass containers. I poured the ready-made mix into an acrylic pitcher and had my fave, Tito’s vodka, on the side. I didn’t have to add anything to the mix, it was so good! I guess if you like it really spicy it can’t hurt to have some Tabasco on hand.
Line the celery salt on the rim just like with a margarita: wet the rim with a little water (not too much!), turn the cup upside down and twist it around in the pile of salt. Yum! I used skewer sticks to hold some of the garnishes and then stuck everything in the glass!
The crab legs were already fully cooked but I did have to cook the bacon. You could buy precooked bacon but honestly is there anything better than waking up to the smell of bacon?!!
The Bloody Mary Bar turned out to be a HUGE hit and it was way easier than I expected. I’ll def be recreating this for the hubby’s next game day!
How about you?! Are you girls Bloody Mary lovah’s too?!
