If you girls follow along on Instagram and snap you probably saw that we snuck aways for a quick little staycation here in Orange County a couple weekends ago. I’ve mentioned it before but this stage with Luca (at 18 months) is seriously rough with traveling. We have never done a “staycation” before but honestly don’t know why we haven’t been doing these all along! We got a babysitter for the afternoon and then the hubby and I headed to the resort for an amazzzzing KID FREE afternoon! So here’s a quick post with some random shots I wanted to share with you girls, from our staycation at the beautiful Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach.
Our room and view were absolutely gorgeous! I’m sorry I didn’t take more pictures of it to share on here but we were so anxious to to get down to the spa and pool! ( I did give a quick full tour on my SnapChat though) After we checked in we headed straight to the spa for a couples massage. I can’t tell you how many years it’s been since we’ve done one of those! The spa was so relaxing and the treatments were AMAZING!

After the spa we headed down to the Collesium Pool at The Pelican Hill Resort (it’s seriously one of the most stunning pools we been to!) where we relaxed ALL afternoon until we went home to pick up our littles and bring them back for a little hotel slumber parrrrrty. The kids (especially Ava) love to stay at hotels, so this was a win win for all of us.
Soaking up the last few “quiet” moments before my crazies came;)
The babes came back just in time for a quick sunset dip and dinner on the terrace!
I love this view xoxo
Mickey Mouse Pancakes for the win!
and of course the upside to your kiddos having you up at the crack of dawn is…. having the pool all to ourselves!
Have you girls ever done a Staycation before?! I seriously think this is going to be something we’ll be doing more often (at least until Luca is a little bit older;) Hope you all having a great week!
I have an 8 month old so a staycation sounds like an amazing idea!!
oh my gosh yes that is the PERFECT age for a stay cation!
Oh how I need a Staycation ! Looks like a perfect afternoon for you and your hubby ! Beautiful resort 🙂
thanks love it was so so relaxing and so much less fuss than having to plan/prep for a getaway
What size did you get in that Janessa Leone hat? Thanks! That place looks amazing!
Hi love i wear a medium in her hats
We always thought staycations were silly but since I got a new job in April I haven’t had time to take more than a day off. So we’ve been spending the weekend in local hotels and it’s fantastic! We don’t have any chores to do and you can’t beat spas, pools and room service when it comes to relaxation. My guy never got massages before we started dating, now he wants one every week!!! I’ve created a monster haha but we both look at it as a major self-care and health benefit.
Gorgeous! I saw your snaps too, looks like you had a great stay-cation! 🙂
Xo Amanda
I’m not sure if you’d call it a staycation, but we like to do little weekend trips an hour or two away from where we live. It still feels like vacation to us!
